From an early age, Sam felt God’s calling to help others. She graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Community Health and later earned her Master of Social Work from Baylor University, focusing on Mental and Physical Health. Sam finds deep meaning in listening to people’s stories, guiding them toward healing, fostering a positive relationship with food and their bodies, and helping them connect with their authentic selves. She is passionate about integrating faith and mental health, supporting individuals in finding healing and wholeness through clinical expertise and a faith-centered, client-led approach. Sam feels grateful to serve on the Renewed Heart board as a mental health clinician and Christian.
